• Systematic botany with morphological, ecological, biochemical and/or molecular characterization
• Documentation and analysis of biodiversity at different levels and across spatial and temporal scales
• Conservation biology (ex-situ/in-situ) regarding prioritized Greek native plants (endemics, threatened, species with ornamental and/or aromatic-medicinal and/or agroalimentary value)
• Ethnobotany with emphasis on wild greens and medicinal-aromatic herbs
• Invasion biology, alien invasive plants, plant ecology, environmental education and awareness raising
